SUMMARY STATEMENT :
The Lease Operator is responsible for monitoring and reporting on production and other pertinent well information and provides maintenance on production equipment.
The position applies basic and some advanced skills to perform routine and complex operations using tools and equipment appropriate for the energy industry.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
grease pumping units, service lease equipment, etc.
test safety systems daily to maximize production.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :
COMPENSATION :
Salary is commensurate with experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Work is normally performed outdoors where exposure to conditions of extreme heat / cold, fumes and gases is common. Noise level is moderate to loud and includes sounds of construction, equipment operations, and trucks and like equipment.
Job hazards include working in normal light and heavy construction activities and working around pressured propane, water, electricity, and waste lines and under all weather conditions.
May work in areas where H2S is present. Overtime is sometimes required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at moderate skill level. Work may require frequent pushing, pulling, or carrying 50 to 75 pound objects such as tools, equipment work operations.
Work involves standing and walking most of the time but will also involve sitting and driving for extended periods sometimes over rough terrain.
